To The 2023 LHVA Family,

Coaches, players, parents and their families are invited to join us in celebrating the end of a wonderful LHVA club season on Saturday, May 13 at Mamaroneck Harbor for a picnic from 12:00-4:00pm. We will also be running our 2023 Serve-A-Thon on the grass courts. Parking is available at no cost. Water and chips have been donated to our event. Food trucks will be available to purchase lunch or you can bring your own. Some tables and chairs will be set up, but feel free to bring additional blankets and chairs for seating. Outdoor volleyball nets will be set up on the grass for players and coaches to have some fun and to run our 2023 Serve-A-Thon. Players are encouraged to get as many sponsors as possible to help support The Danny Fund and The LHVA Scholarship Fund. We will also be raising money through the Raffle Baskets, 50/50 Raffle and Birthday Board. Tickets will be available at the event for the 50/50 Raffle and Baskets. Each LHVA team will be donating a gift basket to raffle off. Coaches will reach out to each team to decide on a theme and a time to put it together. Additional gift baskets will be donated by other families and/or businesses. Please let me know if you would like to donate a basket. All money raised from these two raffles will go towards the LHVA Scholarship Fund. We will also have a Birthday Board. Prior to the event, people can purchase a date(s) for $20 each and your name will be added to the board. At the event, a date will be chosen at random for a $500 prize. All money raised from this will go to The Danny Fund. After we eat, play and serve, a prize will be given to the player on each team who raises the most money from the Serve-A-Thon and 2 player awards per team will be awarded.

We hope to see you there!

    05/03/2023, 1:45pm EDT
    By Sloane Dill

Please help Kady Finegan and LHVA raise money for The Danny Fund.

How lucky is your birthday? Help us fill the board! $20.00 per date on the board gives you a chance to win $500.00!

All profits from the board will go directly to The Danny Fund who helps the families of catastrophically injured or ill children. The winning date will be picked from a hat at the LHVA End of Season Picnic on May 13th.

Please send Cindy and Kady Finegan a message at cinfin3@gmail.com to select a date and for payment information. You can also visit our Facebook page to see which dates are still available.

Don’t miss your chance to win and help a good cause.

    Good Luck!

LHVA TRAVEL PARENT RECORDED ZOOM MEETING

    GEVA Juniors Inclement Weather Policy

    When will we cancel?

GEVA makes every effort to fulfill our commitment to teams and clubs by conducting all scheduled tournaments. Sometimes things get in the way. Our inclement weather practice has been to hold the tournament if at all possible (even if some teams are more effected than others). Exceptions are made in dangerous situations, and those beyond our control. If the weather is bad, (snow and ice) your safety is paramount. Do not drive if it you don't feel safe.

    Why do we cancel?

We will cancel for two reasons:

    1. The staff determines the weather and driving conditions are too hazardous.

    2. If the facility where we are holding tournament cancels our access.

    When do I know?

When possible, a decision is made prior to 9 pm the evening prior. If a situation worsens overnight, the decision is adjusted prior to 5:30 am the day of the tournament. Once cancelled, we will not have a mind change.

    How do I know?

We will send information through webpoint to Club directors, and AES to participating Clubs. We will also post on juniors and home page of geva.org

    Safety is paramount.

Do not drive if it you don't feel safe.
