2021 Spring/Summer Clinics 

Safety (Updated July 2021)

We are following the NY State/CDC guidelines. Please see below for some of our safety requirements: 

• It is now optional for players and coaches to wear masks during outdoor events. 

• Players must use the hand sanitizer before practice, at every water break (before they start drinking) and at the end of practice. There are pumps at each court in orange buckets.  

• Cones will be at each court to social distance for water breaks.  We will aim to keep the same 6 players per cone.

• Each court will have their own set of volleyballs which will be sanitized before and after they are used.

What age do I sign up for?

2021 Preseason Grass Clinic for Boys and Girls Entering 6th-12th Grade on 8/14!

LHVA and WVBNY will be offering a last minute preseason tune-up grass volleyball clinic for boys and girls entering middle school and high school. It will be a one day, two session camp for players entering grades 6-8 and 9-12 at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. All players must have an AVP America Membership in order to participate, but can use the same membership if also participating in the beach program. 

When:  Saturday, August 14th

Session 1: Grades 6-8       9:00am to 12:00pm

Session 2: Grades 9-12     12:30pm - 3:30pm

Cost:  $90 per player 

Payment: A $25 Silver payment for the AVP America Membership must be completed online.  The $90 payment for the program can be submitted via Venmo @WVBNY or by money order/check payable to Westchester Volleyball NY.  ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN AUGUST 13TH. 

2021 Juniors Beach Doubles

Lower Hudson Volleyball Association and Westchester Volleyball NY will be running a Juniors Beach Doubles Program this summer for current 6 th -12 th graders. This NEW EXTENDED 7-week program is designed to help volleyball players expand their knowledge and skill of the game. Playing beach volleyball will allow each athlete the chance to improve their indoor performance as well.

2021 Juniors Grass Clinic on May 16th

LHVA and WVBNY are taking advantage of the spring outdoor season and are offering our first grass volleyball clinic of the season on May 16th.  It will be a one day, two session camp for grades 6-8 and 9-12 at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck.  

2021 Juniors Grass Tournaments

LHVA and WVBNY are excited to announce that we will be offering Juniors Grass Doubles Volleyball Tournaments.  All tournaments will be hosted at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck on the grass closest to the beach.   All players must have an AVP America Membership in order to participate, but can use the same membership if also participating in the WVBNY/LHVA Juniors Beach Program or Grass Clinic.  

Tournament Dates: 5/23, 6/13, 7/11, 7/25

2020 LHVA & WVBNY SUMMER CAMPS

Westchester Volleyball NY & Lower Hudson Volleyball Association will be hosting a 5 day tune up grass volleyball camp for girls entering grades 9-12. This program is designed to help high school players to polish their skills and prepare for their upcoming season.

DEADLINE: August 21st – All registrations and payments are due – Please note: There is limited space for each time slot with a maximum of 45 players. There will be an automatic waiting list online. If a player fails to submit payment by the deadline they will be removed from registration and players will be added from the waitlist.

LHVA and WVBNY will be starting the 2020 Juniors Beach Doubles Volleyball program on Monday, July 13th as originally planned. Changes have been implemented and discussed in our Zoom meeting and through emails. This program consists of practices only now due to the current health restrictions. Registration for this program is NOW CLOSED! 

Everyone who is registered should have received the following information:

Practice times:  

12U: Monday & Tuesday/ 5:00-6:30pm

14U: Group 1: Monday and Tuesday/ 5-6:30pm

14U: Group 2: Wednesday and Thursday/6-7:30pm 

16U: Monday & Tuesday: 6:30-8:00pm

18U: Monday & Tuesdays: 6:30-8:00pm

Parking:  Parking passes were emailed.  You MUST print out your own pass.  All passes must be displayed on your dashboard after you park to prevent from getting ticketed.  In the past we've had extra passes at the booth before you enter the beach.  Unfortunately, we are not able to leave any passes as per The Village to reduce contact between the attendant and drivers.  

Temperature check:  All players will enter the beach from the back gate.  Before any players enter, we will be doing a temp check.  While you are waiting on the grass area before entering the beach, please SOCIAL DISTANCE and keep your mask on. 

Payments:  We have lowered the cost to $250.00. Please either mail a check or money order payable to:  Westchester Volleyball NY.  You may also feel free to bring a check, money order or cash to the first day of practice.  If you do bring payment the first evening, put your payment in an envelope with your daughter's first and last name along with what age group they are participating in.  Anyone who has already submitted payment will be receiving a refund with the difference.

Tournaments:  As per NYS, we are not able to host any competitive games or scrimmages.  You are more than welcome to go onto the AVP America site and check out the schedule for tournaments based in Point Pleasant.  Great American Volleyball is the association that will be hosting those tournaments. These are separate from our program and ARE NOT associated with WVBNY/LHVA.  The other tournament we were to participate in, in Long Beach, was also canceled.
